From GamblersTelevision.com College Football Saturday Stanford Cardinal at Arizona St Sun Devils (-14) (10PM ET) (FOX Arizona) Stanford was home last week and took advantage of a very young Oregon St team breaking in a new front 7 and set of running backs. This week it’s a little different as they travel to the desert to face quarterback Rudy Carpenter and the Arizona St Sun Devils. Since coming to Arizona St head coach Dennis Erickson has greatly improved the Sun Devil defense. The Sun Devil front seven looked good last week. Look for the Sun Devil defense to bring pressure on Pritchard and get to him. Stanford’s secondary is very weak and gave up 404 passing yards last week against Oregon St.. Rudy Carpenter has led the Sun Devils in blowouts the last two seasons to a combined score of 79-6 against Stanford. Bad matchup for Stanford as Carpenter exploits this bad secondary. Arizona St pounds Stanford. Selection Arizona St -14

From GamblersTelevision.com Pro Football St Louis Rams at Philadelphia Eagles (-7 ½) (1 ET) (FOX) Donovan McNabb is healthy. Brian Westbrook is healthy. The Eagle defense is healthy and added Ammante Samuel to the secondary. And when they add a nickel back you have Lito Sheppard coming into the game. Look out for the Eagles. Looking at McNabb during the preseason and late last season he looked much more mobile and was able to move well out of the pocket to avoid pass rushers. The Eagles are thin at the receiver position with injuries to Kevin Curtis who will miss week 1 and Reggie Brown who may play though a bad hamstring. DeSean Jackson should get some time at wideout and had a good preseason. Tight end JT Smith is healthy and will be a target for McNabb on Sunday. Michael Westbrook is also a threat in the passing game. The Rams are young on defense and face a tough test on the road here. The Rams will improve as the season progresses. Rams running back Stephen Jackson was a holdout until August 20th and missed most of training camp. The Rams offensive line will be tested trying to protect Marc Bulger who was smacked last season. The Eagles want blood here because they are out to prove to the league that they will contend in 2008. Take Philadelphia –7 ½. Selection: Philadelphia –7 1/2

From GamblersTelevision.com College Football USC Trojans at UCLA Bruins (O 47) (4:30PM ET) (ABC) USC defense is just outstanding. Notre Dame had only 4 first downs last week and didnt get their first one until the end of the third quarter. UCLA is an offense that is struggling behind Kevin Craft. A third string quarterback inserted into action due to injuries to the top 2 QBs on UCLAs depth chart. UCLA has trouble running the ball and Craft has been dismal as this is one of UCLAs worst ever-offensive teams. UCLA does play inspired defense and is better than Notre Dame on that side of the ball and should hold the Trojans in the mid 30s while their offense wont sniff the end zone. Play this one under 47 1/2. Selection: Under 47 1/2

From GamblersTelevision.com College Football Fiesta Bowl Ohio St Buckeyes versus Texas Longhorns (-8 ½) January 5th (8 ET)(FOX) Ohio St has not had good bowls the past two years losing to Florida 41-14 two years ago and 38-24 last year. Ohio St versus 2 BCS Bowl teams this season put up only 3 to USC and 6 to Penn St. Longhorn quarterback Colt McCoy had an outstanding season hitting on 77% of his passes for over 3400 yards and 32 TDs. McCoys accuracy will be key in this game as the Longhorns offense will move the ball effectively and maintain possession of the football. Note the game is being played in Glendale Arizona the home of the Arizona Cardinals so we will have a fast track which allows Texas to take full advantage of their speed and quickness. Terrelle Pryor has been inconsistent at quarterback for the Buckeyes and running back Beanie Wells has been hampered by injuries on the season. With the Longhorns explosive offense it will force Ohio St to play a game of comeback behind Pryor and that will not bode well for the Buckeyes. Ohio Sts defense will be on the field quite a bit in this game and will wear down giving us the cover in this one. Take Texas 8 ½. Selection: Texas 8 1/2

From GamblersTelevision.com Pro Football Sunday Pittsburgh Steelers at Tennessee Titans (+1) (1PM ET) (CBS) Tennessee was hit with major injury news on Monday. Defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has an MCL sprain in his knee and is out until the start of the playoffs. Haynesworth is an impact player on the Titans defensive front and his loss will be costly in this game. Also announced the Titans defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch will miss the last 2 regular season games with minor groin surgery. So 2 key Titan defensive linemen out in this game against Pittsburgh. Tennessee is 6-15 straight up without Albert Haynesworth in the lineup since he entered the league. The Steelers are winners of 5 in a row beating Baltimore, Dallas and New England in successive weeks. The Steelers have given up no more than 13 points in their past 4 games. Tennessee has dropped 2 of their past 4 games losing to the Texans and Jets while beating hapless Detroit and Cleveland. Big Ben Roethlisberger led an impressive late 92 yard clutch drive for the Steelers in their key victory against Baltimore last week and bring momentum into this game. This game is for home field throughout the playoffs and the Steelers form right now is outstanding winning big games. The Titans injuries on their defensive front will be too much to overcome. Take Pittsburgh 1. Selection Pittsburgh -1

From GamblersTelevision.com College Football LSU Tigers at Auburn Tigers (O 37 ½) (7:45PM ET) (ESPN) We have solid defenses from both teams here with inexperienced quarterbacks on both offenses. Neither team has shown much of a downfield passing game so expect those short safe throws that eat up clock. Charles Scott has been effective rushing the ball for LSU so look for them to try and pound it against Auburns good run defense. It will be tough doing that. We have the top defenses from College Football going against offenses that are a work in progress. This means a very conservative game plan from both offenses and coaching staffs that will play the field position game throughout the game. Play this one under 37 ½. Selection: UNDER 37 1/2

From GamblersTelevision.com From our Rockstar Studio Tony T here from Gamblers Television covering College Football Vegas Style all season long. College Football Thursday Oregon St Beavers at Stanford Cardinal (+3) (6PM ET) (ESPN 2) Oregon St travels to Palo Alto to kick off the season with a Pac 10 Conference game with Stanford. Stanford gets Oregon St here at the right time. The Beavers are replacing their entire front 7 on defense. Oregon St usually starts slow and especially on the road. The Beavers are 0-6 straight up in their first road game in Mike Reilly’s last 6 seasons as head coach. Junior quarterback Lyle Moevao gets the start with Sean Canfield backing him up and hopefully their revamped offensive line can give them blocking. These two QB’s combined to lead the Pac 10 in interceptions the last season. The running back position is very inexperienced for the Beavers with two freshmen and a transfer in the backfield. Stanford beat USC and Cal last season and look for head coach Jim Harbaugh to have his Cardinal team sky high for this national TV appearance, which will help the program for recruiting purposes. Stanford needs this win with a road game at Arizona St and at TCU up next for Stanford. Take Stanford +3 Selection Stanford +3

From GamblersTelevision.com College Football Champs Sports Bowl Wisconsin Badgers versus Florida St Seminoles (O 52) Saturday December 27th (4:30PM ET) (ESPN) Wisconsin avoided a huge embarrassment by squeaking out a 36-35 overtime victory over Cal Poly at home. The Badgers gave up 276 rushing yards against this small time program. The Badgers defense really failed down the stretch as the team allowed 32 to a struggling Minnesota team on November 15th. The Seminoles will need to contain Badger running back PJ Hill and John Clay who combine for nearly 1900 yards on the season. Junior Dustin Sherer has been an improvement over Allen Evridge for the Badgers at QB as Wisconsin has won 4 of 6 and has improved their offensive output. Florida St has improved offensively this season behind a strong running attack. The Seminoles gave up over 300 yards rushing to Florida and 288 to Georgia Tech so Wisconsin will have some success offensively behind the strength of their two running backs. Play this one over 52. Selection: OVER 52

From GamblersTelevision.com College Football Emerald Bowl Miami Hurricanes versus California Golden Bears (-7 1 Saturday December 27th (8PM ET) (ESPN) Miami makes the long trip to San Francisco to take on the California Golden Bears and it will be somewhat of a home game for Cal. Miami is a young team and will have their hands full trying to contain Cal star running back Jahvid Best. The sophomore running back rushed for 512 yards combined over his past 2 games and gained 112 rushing yards against the good Oregon St defense. Best struggled through some injuries but when he was 100% he exploded and may be a Heisman candidate at least by his senior season. In his 2 seasons at Cal Best averages 7.8 yards per attempt. Miami dropped their final two games of the season giving up 38 to NC State and 41 to Georgia Tech. Miami beat up on the really weak offensive teams on their schedule and were soundly beaten by good offensive teams. Cal was impressive covering a 9 ½ point spread in their big game against Stanford exploding in the second half back on November 22nd. Since they are in front of the home folks here the Golden Bears will be motivated in this spot. Take Cal 7 ½. Selection: Cal 7 1/2
