Having finished the “Best Ever” series, this presentation, the sixth in the NFL Films Legacy Series, takes a look back at the entire decade of the 1970′s in the NFL, and it’s moments, players, and teams. The second of five parts takes a look back at the player of the decade, OJ Simpson, and the first half of the reign of the decade’s greatest team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. This part begins with a rules change the NFL made in 1972, moving the hashmarks in, hoping to add offense. but what it did was made the running backs more dominant than ever. Three key running backs are mentioned. Two were Walter Payton and Earl Campbell, the latter of whom led the Houston Oilers to two consecutive AFC Championship Games in 1978 and ’79. But the greatest player of the decade was unquestionably Buffalo Bills RB OJ Simpson. Simpson would become the second to gain more than 10000 yards in a career [after Jim Brown], break Gale Sayers’ single-season TD record in 1975 [not mentioned], and of course, became the first man ever to rush for more than 2000 yards in a season, and the only one to do so in a 14-game season, in 1973. Then the Pittsburgh Steelers are mentioned, as they went from the bottom of the sport [where they resided for almost their entire existence prior to the 1970's] to consecutive Super Bowl wins over the

Serial Teabagger Downing strikes again. Helpless Giants fan gets teabagged by disrespectful Alabama fans. The penalty must be severe as the offense! LSU biased ref throws the flags and blows the whistle on this repeat teabagging offender. Alabama versus LSU has spread into the NFL Super Bowl Sunday showdown. Patriots fans escape without injury or embarrassment. Drunk Alabama fan left scratching his balls over the penalty, not really seeing where he did anything wrong!! We the people of Louisiana support our LSU fighting tigers football team and also are supporting the Giants fan in this situation because we have been through this with our own LSU fan just recently. A Cheeseburger eating douchebag ball sacks an unsuspecting man then laughs it off as some college prank. WTF? This ones for you Brian Downing! Teabag this… Super Bowl 2012 will probably have some epic Super Bowl commercials but its all about the New York Giants versus the New England Patriots and lets just hope no one else gets teabagged after the big game on Sunday. I mean lets think about this folks, there is a lot that we’ve heard about in the name of football; Fights, fighting, pranks, even assault and shootings, but sexual assault? Teabagging a poor guy? Come on. Special note to Mr Brian Downing; If Teabagging is an art, your

Mediocre predictions, but it certainly wasn’t a mediocre playoff season! As for the Super Bowl…I hope my fellow Cowboys will forgive me: Go Giants!
