Philip Humber’s perfect game for the Chicago White Sox in Major League Baseball last Saturday, has continued to dominate the headlines in the world of baseball. The right handed pitcher denied any of the hitters a run on base as the White Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 4-0. It was only the 21st perfect game in MLB history and pushed the 29 year old into the limelight with appearances on late night television, and even a phone call from President Obama. Humber’s manager and team mates have heaped praise on what could be a once in a lifetime achievement. The White Sox are currently second in the American League Central, behind the Cleveland Indians, hopes are that Humber’s achievements on just his 30th start as a major league pitcher, could build momentum for Chicago, who are looking for their first World Series since 2005.
