May 13th, 2010: “We have to act like this is our game 7.” Those are the words of what KG described coming into game 6…and they did. They played really tough defense on LeBron and their team. LeBron had 9 TOs but achieved a triple-double. But the Celtics came back hard with KG’s great performance. He scored game high 22 points, and trailing from that was Rondo with 21 points. The bench also had a impact. Rasheed Wallace and Tony Allen stepped it up for the bench requiring a win. Now the Celtics face off the Orlando Magics who look the have revenge on them from last year Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. NOTE: Don’t hate on LeBron, he was a tough competitor and showed good sportsmanship. You can hate on the fans though.

The Celtics play their third home game against the Memphis Grizzlies, with former teammate Tony Allen playing against them but due to a sore rib he didn’t play but suited up. Celtics were looking for their 4th straight win without Brandon Bass, who did not play due to a sore knee but they didn’t need him as other bench players stepped up in the win beating the Grizzlies 98-80. Kevin Garnett fueled the win with a game high 24 points with 9 rebounds and made his 3rd three in 3 consecutive games. Chris Wilcox added 12 points and 5 rebounds, while JaJuan Johnson added 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Paul Pierce had a good game scoring 21 points. Rudy Gay led the Grizzlies with 21 points while OJ Mayo added in 15 points. Sam Young and Dante Cunningham both contributed 10 points.
