On Sunday, April 1st, 1990 the Buffalo Sabres Hockey Game on NFSN started, but the faces and voices did not match the names on the screen. Four relatively unknown persons were doing the studio and on-ice introductions to the broadcast. Those who knew the history of the Sabres knew that every year an April Fools gag would be on, and this was that gag. Cameraman Don Sellon represented the Play-by-Play man, (the now late) Ted Darling, Cameraman Dan Neaverth, Jr. was playing the role of Sabres Color Man Mike Robitaille, Video Engineer Gary Walters portrayed Sabres Analyst Danny Gare, and Audio Engineer Phil Chordas acted in the role of Sabres Studio Intermission Host John Gurtler. All 4 persons did this pre-taped, under the watchful eye of ‘Biff’, who was Executive Producer and Director Paul Wieland. The game was between the Buffalo Sabres and the Quebec Nordiques. The game itself is not shown on this video, only the in studio gag on the Niagara Frontier Sports Network (NFSN), a group of cable companies and other media outlets across most of Upstate New York. The Broadcast occurred on: Sunday, April 1st, 1990 AD We came in humor for all mankind.

LeBron James was on fire in the 2nd quarter, in Milwaukee on February the 20th, 2009. You know, he was on fire the whole game. This is a short clip of the ending of the second quarter. He would finish the 2nd quarter with 25 points, after scoring 10 in the first quarter. He turned the ball over, and you know what? Scored a 3-pointer from 5 feet beyond the arc. Next possesion? Hit a fade-away 3 at the buzzer. The third quarter? Start with a jumper off the glass, hit a deep 3. Then he crossed the ball over and hit another 3. Then he nearly pulled off an and1. Missed the two free throws, but you know what? Hits another from downtown, from 4 feet beyond the arc with the hand in his face. Charlie Villanueva misses a jumper, Ben Wallace gets the rebound. Immediately gives it to LeBron. He shoots another jump shot three, this time from 8 or 9 feet beyond the arc. After an offensive foul, he hits another jumper. He scored 16 points in 2 minutes and 16 seconds. He himself turned a 4 point deficit into a 8-point lead. After this, he missed two shots, and he didn’t take anymore. Until he got another turnover, he suddenly got right back at Mbah a Moute. Hits a fade-away in the post. A few minutes later? Hits a stepback three. The thing I like about it, is that with every shot he made, the crowd rose again, in anticipation what was coming. I ain’t a LeBron lover. I think his shooting form is bad. But this is one of the greatest scoring runs I’ve ever seen. He was just on fire. Hope …

UFO highlights from the 10-28-79 Dallas Cowboys @ Pittsburgh Steelers game. Nationally broadcast and 52000 stadium witnesses. They announcers broke into the toy gun commercial to show this. And later had to repeat the commercial due to this. The video was cut prior to commercials to prove authenticity. The good stuff starts at the 55 second mark.
