The Brazilian government has established partnerships with more than 28 African countries on trade and development. Brazilian companies are now investing in many African countries in key areas such as energy, infrastructure and agriculture. Brazil and Mozambique for example are now implementing many joint projects in agriculture and health. With the help of Brazil new generic drugs are now being manufactured in Mozambique to treat HIV/AIDS and other illnesses. Private Brazilian companies are also active in partnerships relating to the energy, agricultural and mining sectors. Brazil is one of Africa’s richest developing country partners in many key industries and sectors as well as the knowledge, experience and innovation sectors. As Africa has been growing recently it also presents a large and growing market for Brazilian companies.
