Madonna – Evita – 18 Eva’s Final Broadcast (1996) The actress hasn’t learned the lines you’d like to hear She’s sad for her country, sad to be defeated By her own weak body (Evita! Evita!…) I want to tell the people of Argentina I’ve decided I should decline All the honors and titles you’ve pressed me to take For I’m contented Let me simply go on as the woman who brings her people To the heart of Peron Don’t cry for me Argentina The truth is I shall not leave you Though it may get harder for you to see me I’m Argentina, and always will be Have I said too much? There’s nothing more I can think of to say to you But all you have to do is look at me to know That every word is true

me encanta madonna
In real life, Evita made this annoucement through in a radio message. After being told that her cancer had spread and was terminal.
@ruben20001 I have read information ab out Eva, in both pro and anti Peronist books. I’m sorry to say that the cons far outweigh the pros. Her economic policies(or rather, her husband’s– Eva was not a feminist at all, she just blindly worshipped and followed Peron) bankrupted Argentina, and Eva was a narcissitic woman who loved only herself. I’m sorry that you’ve been fooled by her. Now flame me all you want. I don’t care.
esta pelicula me parecio una payasada total ,,,,,,si quieren saber quien fue Eva Peron vayan a buscar informacion a libros.
@brotmann86 no one would have done , or will do ever a better evita!
@evaperonsuclks no they were popping wine bottles cause they hated her
@soccerreadingkid they were popping wine bottles because they thought that Argentina would be saved. Unfortunately, the damage was done.
another beautiful thing about this film… even the extra’s faces show great acting skills..
@evaperonfan who knows i wished she never died, she did alot. and it sad to that the rich and the miliarty were poping wine bottles when she died, they were happy she died, the poor were sad and angery that she died. they were angery that she died they blamed her
@soccerreadingkid @soccerreadingkid right. I think the musical has their relationship on Eva’s part wrong, but the way Juan treated her right. Eva loved him a lot, and in my opinion, she was just a tool in her husband’s hands. In my eyes, he brainwashed her to do all those speeches for him. She didn’t get her own ideas until she wanted to be vice president, and he took that away from her.
@evaperonfan if you look carefully at peron he is smiling wtf. he rly did love his first wife, mabye he loved eva, but never loved his third wife, AND eva peron was so weak that she fainted after this
@xxIdinaxx but his idea’s are NOTHING like Che’s ideas….Che was a communist…
read “Che Guevara: a revoultionary life” by Jon Lee Anderson.
In the Evita stage/film musical Che is more like a self-rightous, westren intellect who wanted to live under a so-called democray…and despised Eva.
Really the Che in the musical is nothing like Che (Gueverra)
except Gueverra was Argentinian by birth

@3l3n43 the rich people were classist snobs.
@soccerreadingkid apparently he was devastated when his first wife died. My guess is that he wanted Eva for what she could do for him politically, and he wasted all his love on his first wife.
@evapersonfan i totaly respect evita and ur right her husband is a jerk, it like your wifes dieing and your not crying or anything
@soccerreadingkid Peron is such an ass. I respect Eva, but I hate her husband. She loved him and he treated her like dirt.
do you guys see how peron smiling the whole time. what the hell
she fainted in real life after this :<
I started crying.
This is beautiful. Though this was not Madonna best singing, it wasn’t supposed to be. Her character was dying form cervical cancer, and she was weak. this was an emotional part, not a skill part
Gotta say 3:19 to the end is just beautiful, love the strings parts… wonderful.
my god! cervical cancer vaccine was invented in the year of 1970’s? why not 1930’s or 1940’s! god damn it!
He’s not supposed to BE Che Guevara, he’s just there to represent his ideas and such.
aaaaaaaaayyy
me hace llorar
