okay, thanks. I figured the ones on the shelves currently weren’t meant to replace the MB’s. The Smokes were just left over and refinished MB’s from 06 and 07 anyways, if I’m correct.
the r9 tps are chunky…its like we’re at the beach playing with shovels….
^^ The smoked TP’s aren’t going to be made anymore. The R9 TP’s are replacing the Tour Preffered’s. The R9 TP B’s are replacing the Smoke’s, but there the “tour irons”
I’m pretty sure the R9′s are replacing the Tour Preferred’s, which replaced the r7′s. The most obvious way to tell this is the price of the Tour Preferred’s dropped by about 25% before the R9 came out and the TP MB’s are the same price still.
I can say for a fact that the R9 TP are bigger than my old r7 TP’s, and those are alot bigger than my current MB’s. So unless Taylormade has completely abandoned blade irons, the R9′s are not replacing the MB’s

the r9 TP’s arent chunky
they are the replacemnt for the smoke MB’s
just with a little more perimeter weighting for a touch more forgiveness
the regular r9 irons are slightly more chunky

Canadian college and university sports teams don’t have the same quality. Top athletes go to the US so a lot of us Canadians watch american college sports.

nice cover, and nice plan with the clubs, sticking with the same sticks for a year should be good. I think the Tour Preferred’s would work better than the chunky R9 TP’s. I think Taylormade really missed with these irons, too similar to the Burner iron in my opinion, and too big for a TP.
