My tribute to one of the best clutch players in NFL history. His awards were numerous but most impressive is that he played in 26 NFL seasons. Played Linebacker, Kicker, and Quarterback. Won AFL Titles with the Houston Oilers in 1960 and 1961. Also threw for 36 TD’s in 1961 which stood for 23 years. Won AFL Title with the Oakland Raiders in 1967 and played in Superbowl II. Although he played for 18 seasons before joining the Oakland Raiders, it is with Oakland where he gained his greatest fame with his miracle season of 1970 bringing the Raiders to victory in the 4th quarter in 5 straight games. Little known fact but when fantasy football first started in the 1960′s, George Blanda was the first every fantasy football pick. My tribute to “the Mad Bomber” Daryle Lamonica. 5 Pro Bowls (’65, ’67, ’69, ’70, ’72), 2 AFL MVP’s (’67 & ’69), 3-Time AFL Champion (’64, ’65, ’67), was a part of 6 AFL Championship games (’64, ’65, ’67, ’68, ’69, ’70), and Superbowl II. The master of the deep ball. Ranked #7 on NFL’s Top 10 Gunslingers. Ranked #46 on NFL’s All-Time QB List. Between 1967-1969 the Raiders only lost 4 games… Phil Villapiano www.youtube.com Soul Patrol www.youtube.com Jack Tatum www.youtube.com George Blanda www.youtube.com Cliff Branch www.youtube.com George Atkinson www.youtube.com “Dr. Death” Skip Thomas www.youtube.com James Jett www.youtube.com Otis Sistrunk www.youtube.com Lyle Alzado www.youtube.com Ben Davidson www.youtube.com Greg Townsend www.youtube.com “The Tooz” John Matuszak www.youtube.com I OWN NOTHING!
