i’ve always wanted to be a marine, and when i’m of age, i will join the Corps. I am looking forward to serving along side the great Men and Women giving so much for our nation, and i dream of one day sacrificing what i can to protect our liberties and the United States of America. God Bless.
I did my four years and also did two tours in Iraq. I was honorably discharged and had the privilege to attend a Marine Corp Birthday Ball even though I was no longer active duty. In the video where they mention the word “brother”, well that camaraderie is for real. You bleed together, sweat together, get dragged through the mud together and cry together. Motivating video.
cooldude50360, if you feel BootCamp may be too much, don’t join. The Marine Corps isn’t for everyone. Go at your own will. It’s something you have to commit to, there is so much honor that goes with that ensignia, and if you are “nervous” about bootcamp it may not be entirely for you, when you compare it to real world scenerios that Marines go through everyday. Hope this helped. Semper Fi
@cooldude50360 hey you pray to god ask him to help if i were do i would it because i wouldn’t want to be a old man sitting there knowing that it’s to late and wondering if i could have gone in there and come out as a marine. You’ll never know until you try.
i’m also planning to get in the marine cops.
@cooldude50360 Find a few Marine friends and spend time with them. Do not let the recruiter talk you into it till you know for sure. It is not a game, not like the video games. It is real life and the enemy is trying to kill you. But do you want to live forever?
It is no big deal what they did. They are Marines. (Not were, They are) These two didn’t even think twice about what to do. There was no choice. They seen the Enemy and they Destroyed him. This video makes me cry. Because it speaks of the death of my brothers. But it also gives me joy because I know my brothers are still there to protect me.
And in heaven, there are two new names on the list of Gods warriors, waiting to fight the finial battle.
@rydermcintosh can i write you?
@matthew562
i go to san diego may 29
@cooldude50360
You can always live under your bed and close your eyes that might help.

I want to join but my biggest fear is that I will come out of it with nothing.. and no future plan. What does someone do after they honorably discharged? The Marine Corps won’t really set you up for a career after right?
i’ve always wanted to be a marine but i’m nervous about going to bootcamp and going to combat can anyone give me some pointers.
Tunn Tavern Philadelphia, PA
I had a friend, Doug Jacobson. He was a Marine, a pvt. Doug got the CMH on IWO.
Doug had to his house on New Years Day. I was the only Army puke. E-9, Stars??. A friend, no combat stuff.
good luck im going to san diego may 24th
It looks like the “recreation” of Tun Tavern at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico. Great place, A little expensive though.
exactly, “They will Never understand”
That would be Tun Tavern in Philadelphia where the Marines held their first recruitment drive, aka the Birthplace of the Corps
Semper Fidelis
Does anyone know what that
Tavern-looking location is at
07:48 to 09:00 ??
I mean, obviously it’s a Tavern of some sort…
but is it an actual “tavern” with a real location…
or just a museum or something like that??
@shorttimer09 Those were the last things on my mind when I joined. I joined to make a man out of myself.

The Marines will go on living as heroes. But their legend will always live in the hell of WW2.
i cant wait to join! 1 more year of highschool, my dad was a marine, 1968-1970, just wanna say
semper fi!!
so glad i joined. i’ve had “friends at home” tell me that while i’m overseas getting hit by roadside bombs, that they will be running hotel chains, and making tons of money….ha, i said good luck, but they will never understand, my only true friends are marines, and low and behold, those so called friends aren’t running hotels or making tons of cash. God Bless my Corps, and all the men and women who serve!
